Service Fees

Individual Therapy $150 per session 50 minutesCouples Therapy $200 per session 60 minutesExtended Couples Session (optional) $220 per session 75 minutesWe are a private pay provider. We offer superbills for clients wishing to seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.

Cancellation Policy:
Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed entirely — are subject to a full session fee chargeThank you for understanding that your appointment time is reserved just for you

Estefania (Nia) Ramirez-Romo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families.She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from San José State University, along with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) specializing in school-based mental health.Nia provides bilingual (English/Spanish), culturally responsive care, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing approaches.For those seeking it, she also offers therapy informed by Catholic faith and values, creating space for both emotional and spiritual growth.

What is a superbill?A superbill is a receipt that includes the necessary information (your diagnosis code, session date, fee, provider info) for your insurance company to process a claim for potential reimbursement.Do I have to use it?No. Using a superbill is completely optional. Some clients prefer to keep their therapy private and not submit anything to insurance.Will I definitely get reimbursed?Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Each insurance plan is different, so it’s best to call and ask directly.Do you offer a sliding scale?Yes. We believe therapy should be accessible when possible.A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients experiencing financial hardship.What ages do you work with?We currently work with adults aged 18 and older who are based in California. If you’re seeking therapy for a minor or family services, I’m happy to provide referrals to trusted colleagues who specialize in working with younger clients.Do I have to integrate faith into therapy?No. Faith integration is completely optional. Therapy at Virtue Therapy is always personalized and respectful of your beliefs.Do You Work With All Clients?
While we work with a wide range of individuals and couples, there are some areas that are outside the scope of our practice. We do not currently provide therapy for:
• Active suicidal ideation
• Severe substance use or addiction
• Eating disorders
• Psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia)
• Court-ordered or mandated therapy
What if I’m in Crisis?
Virtue Therapy does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), dial 911, or visit your nearest emergency room. You deserve immediate support.
