Service Fees

Practice Rates:
We are a private pay provider. We offer superbills that can be submitted to insurances for those wishing to seek out-of-network reimbursement. We advise you to contact your insurance to verify benefits and coverage prior to starting your healing journey.
Individual Therapy $150 per session 50 minutesExtended Sessions (optional) $170 per session 75 minutesPayment Methods Accepted:
• Card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, & Discover
• Health Savings (HSA) & Flexible Spending (FSA)
Cancellation Policy:
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed entirely — are subject to a full session fee charge. However, if you are able to reschedule within the same calendar week, the cancellation fee will be applied as credit to the rescheduled appointment.

Estefania Ramirez-Romo, LCSW 124561, PPSC

Estefania (Nia) Ramirez-Romo, LCSW, PPSC is a first generation Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker born and raised in San Jose, California. She brings eight years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the Bay Area.Nia earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from San José State University and holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) with a specialization in school-based mental health. Her early work in K–12 settings helped her understand the emotional toll academic pressures, identity exploration, and family dynamics can take—insights she now brings to her work with college students, young adults and parents of young and adolescent children.As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, Nia is passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, identity, anxiety, faith, and relationships. As a mother herself, she has a deep personal understanding of the emotional shifts that come with pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting. She offers a supportive space for women navigating motherhood. Whether it’s the desire to become a mother, the challenges of early parenthood, or the grief of unmet expectations.Nia also has experience working in substance use recovery programs, particularly supporting men navigating addiction and rebuilding their sense of purpose, identity, and connection.Her approach is client-centered rooted in cultural humility, compassion, and, when desired by the client, a deep respect for Christian values and faith-integrated care.Nia draws from a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing—always tailoring her work to meet the unique needs of each client.

What are your hours?Sessions are held during the following times:• Monday–Friday: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PMIf you’re not sure whether your schedule fits, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible!What is a superbill?A superbill is a receipt that includes the necessary information (your diagnosis code, session date, fee, provider info) for your insurance company to process a claim for potential reimbursement.Do I have to use it?No. Using a superbill is completely optional. Some clients prefer to keep their therapy private and not submit anything to insurance.Do you offer a sliding scale?Yes. We believe therapy should be accessible when possible. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients experiencing financial hardship.What ages do you work with?We currently work with adults aged 18 and older who are based in California. If you’re seeking therapy for a minor, I’m happy to provide referrals to trusted colleagues who specialize in working with younger clients.Do I have to integrate faith into therapy?No. Faith integration is completely optional. Therapy at Virtue Therapy is always personalized and respectful of your beliefs.Do you work with all clients?
While we work with a wide range of individuals, there are some areas that are outside the scope of our practice. We do not currently provide therapy for:
• Active suicidal ideation
• Severe substance use or addiction
• Eating disorders
• Psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia)
• Court-ordered or mandated therapy
What if I am in crisis?
Virtue Therapy does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), dial 911, or visit your nearest emergency room. You deserve immediate support.
